Packing Impossible

"It isn’t all going to fit!" I wailed in frustration. "It’s impossible!"

He was getting frustrated too. I knew my petulant declarations wouldn’t solve any problems; that they would perhaps CAUSE problems, yet I couldn’t help continuing.

"That’s why I wanted to put everything in the truck yesterday! I wanted to know how much would fit, so we wouldn’t HAVE this problem, now that there’s no other way to get anything else down there!"

"Well, we just won’t take all of it!" he replied gruffly, grabbing for one of his potted plants, sitting in the truck’s bed. "This can stay!"
