Although there is very little truth to this story, we are going to tell it anyway!
When Augustus Caesar became Emperor of Rome back in 27BC, he set up a guard of one-hundred solders to protect his home. Day and night these brave men would keep watch and protect their Emperor with their life, if needed. They were ordered to march in single formation around his home. At each corner of his property they were to turn ninety degrees and continue marching, thereby totally surrounding his home. This pattern of protection later became known as 'The Turn of The Century!'
