We had a lot of hope for the house. We’d studied its online listing, then walked over and peered through the windows. It seemed like a real possibility for us.
Then we got a realtor and went inside.
The house has good bones, but many of them have been fractured by people who apparently knew nothing about maintaining architectural integrity. Fireplaces were removed, walls torn down… and a "bonus room" replaced the old garage. This nearly-useless space was a half-dozen steps down from the original dining room, and had white plastic picket fencing along the drop-off.
I think we’ll pass.
