Drabble Challenge #115

Prompt: twisted

The image of family waiting by her deathbed was replaced with a long tunnel of light. Her awareness traveled until she landed in…nothing.

After a while, she realized that she still WAS. “Hello?” she thought.

“Oh, hello,” came an answer.

“Who are you?” she asked.

“You’d call me ‘God’, I guess. Welcome to your afterlife! Science was right! Once made, the energy of you can never be destroyed!”

“But I can’t see. I can’t feel anything.”

“Right. You have no body.”

“Wait…what?”

“Yeah. Look. I’m afraid I’ve got somewhere else to be. Busy being God and all that!”
