Goodie Meets Her Rescuers

“Why are you here?” Goodie demanded of the young men as she pointed her empty pistol at them, keeping them at bay from her and Armie.

“It’s not intentional,” the smaller, blonde boy said as the wolf came forward and stood at his leg.

“No,” the taller, dark one said. “We’re headed North and we saw smoke.”

“That’s our wagons,” Goodie said. “The men who were guiding us, decided to rob us instead.”

“You’re lucky to survive,” Blonde boy said.

“Yes,” Goodie said and pointed the gun at him. “Now who are you.”

“Ani-mage!,” Avarice shouted from the tree tops.
