Drabble Challenge #109
Prompt: mindless
She lived best when nothing was happening. Her physical form was stuck, repetitiously performing the boring tasks required to provide her loved ones with food for their mouths and warmth between their walls. It was ironic that her back bore the burden of making clothes for the families of others in order to provide such for the backs of her own.
When rote tasks had taken over her body, her mind disengaged. Such boredom was a secret blessing, for in the work, the cloth slipping through calloused fingers, her adventures were sewn along with the threads. Her mind, unfettered—SOARED!
