“Nurse, bring in Test Subject 1,144.”
The nurse wheeled in the young girl, her skin so pale that the veins on her neck would pulse with each beat of her heart. Her pale, blue hospital smock glowed under the fluorescent lights and her short dark hair appeared almost midnight in contrast to her white, nearly translucent skin.
The researcher gripped her chin, not unkindly and slowly exhaled. “When did her eyes change from blue to purple?”
“They changed when she started her first period.”
“Take her back and notify the CEO ASAP,” the researcher excitedly said. “We’ve recreated an Alexandria.”
