“Papi, tell me a bedtime story about monsters.”
“Okay. There’s actually an entire family of little monsters under your bed. They’re old like ogres. Some of them are green and furry. They may try to enchant you into eating them. Whatever you do, don’t! It pleases them to make you sick. They are awful and vile.”
“Ew! I wouldn’t eat a monster!”
“Good.”
“Are they under your bed too?”
“Nope. Good bedroom cleaning gets rid of them.”
“But, I clean my room. Why are they under my bed?”
“Because that’s where you put them, then forgot about them last Halloween.”
