Prompt: down the rabbit hole

The Past:

“We’re needin’ some extry money, Honey. Ever since that Easter-bein’-represented-by-a-bunny thang, I’ve had my mind set to start a breedin’ rabbits. Cain’t be too hard.”

The Present:

“Ah! Lookie how cute! They really like each other a whole lot. Just throw ‘em in that big ol’ cage.”

The Future:

“What the hell we gonna’ do? We cain’t sell nomore of ‘em, what with people bringin’ babies back and all. They’re eatin’ us out of house and home! We’ve lost our cotton pickin’ tails!”

“You’ve lost your damned minds,” says Honey, unrolling new fencing for separating pens.
