The Morning

“Good morning! What’s on your agenda today, Darling?”

She walks out of the bathroom to discover rumpled, empty sheets.

 

The Homecoming

“Why didn’t you answer your phone? I was worried!”

“I left it in the truck.”

“What’s the point of having it?” she asks an already empty room.

 

The Night

“Honey, why are you way over there? Don’t you want to snuggle?”

“I’m hot, and my asthma’s acting up.”

“Okay,” she sighs, turning her face to the wall.
