Watching the time tick down, he was surprised that he was still so nervous. After all this time, he should've been over this anticipation and anxiety.
His fingers fidgeted in his gloves, as he looked at the clock again. It seemed to be speeding by far too fast, and yet taking forever.
He closed his eyes. There was nothing to see from here anyway, and nothing to do but wait.
Then the familiar roar began to build, and he smiled.
It was time.
He glided up the stairs to the stage, and began to slowly undress for the cheering crowd.
