Robot Apocalypse

The man pleaded for his life, as the massive metal form slowly advanced towards him.

"Remember when your dermal-plate got bent and shorted out your rotor-sequencer?"

"IT... HURT."

"I cut myself repairing you!" He held up his hand to show the scar. "We didn't just think of you as a machine. You mattered to us!... Blood is thicker than water, right?"

The robot halted. "QUERYING EXPRESSION... INTER-PERSONAL BONDS, LOYALTY. YOUR REFERENCE IS VALID."

A small sigh of relief escaped the man's lips.

"BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER..." the robot paused, then resumed its advance, "BUT OIL IS THICKER THAN BLOOD."
