Giving Up the Rhyme

I’m just not good at making rhymes --
Though I used to do it all the time.

When I was young, I’d rhyme away.
I’d do it all day, every day.

But things aren’t so easy now, you see,
‘Cause I try but it’s all escaping me!

I try and try to think of a word,
Something I’ve read, something I’ve heard....

It’s all to no avail!
This rhyming scheme is going to fail!

I just can’t do it!
There’s no getting through it!

I might as well shut my laptop for the day!
Go find some other game to play….
