Drabble Challenge #85

Prompt: rhyming (special)

related to Savannah Sonnets

Savannah, they call it the Coastal Empire
In summer it’s so hot, you act like a vampire

A city dripping with the moss called Spanish
Where the present time almost seems to vanish

In spring blanketed by azaleas of pink, red, and white
And visiting Irish-for-a-day party well into the night

Cameras are poised and drinks are in hand
With more fun on Tybee, in the waves or the sand

Moonlight walks downtown or along the river
And hearing ghost stories that make you shiver

I thought I’d be a part of it forever
Then remembered, "never say never"
