As Rosemary sat in her darkened room she tried to calm her mind, using the meditation techniques she’d been studying.
I feel some connection to this woman… she thought, breathing deeply. But what? How?
She saw a vivid image: a man with bright blue eyes and a sad smile… another man, a bit older, taller… they looked at each other challengingly…
She felt overwhelming sadness and conflict, mistakes that could never be remedied. She could smell something strange… some kind of gas, maybe…? She felt herself drifting away.
