Drabble Challenge #11

Prompt: happy family vacation
An essay by Samantha Green

We went to the beach. I buried dad’s wallet in the sand while he swam, then made him a treasure map. It was funny. My map was wrong, so we couldn’t pay for our hotel room. Camping in the car was fun. It filled up with mosquitoes. The next day, I picked flowers for mom and dad. They had neat red ants. I dumped the calamine lotion to use the bottle as a vase. It was pretty. Mom liked it so much she cried. Dad said I get to have my own vacation next year.
