Trouble Looms Ahead

"Listen up, people," shouted the textile supervisor. "We've got to use our remaining supply of nylon by the end of the day. So, set all the looms at double speed and get those stockings made pronto!"

"But sir," said a loom worker. "If we speed up the looms, the stockings might get runs in them."

"Don't worry about that," said the supervisor.

"Sir," said another loom worker, "if we run out of nylon, can we use the animal skins we have in storage to complete our quota?"

"No you cannot," replied the supervisor. "You can run, but you can't hide."
